Personal | I’m Back

Instagram

Hi guys, just a quick post to let you know I have not disappeared off the face of the Earth.  Truth be told, the digital detox probably went too well and I got a little too comfortable in my own little world.

The time out did give me the opportunity to evaluate my online presence though and I have decided that while I do still want to blog, I will be cutting back just to make it that bit more sustainable.  So my plan going forward with the blog is to post 3 to 4 times a month.

I am hoping that is okay with you guys and I am sure you can appreciate that it can be hard sometimes to find the balance in our lives.  I just have to do whats right for me.  I must admit, I did consider giving up on the blog but I felt I would miss it and especially those friendships that I have forged over the last few months.  I would miss you  and miss reading your blogs.  So for that reason, you are stuck with me for now !!! Hope that’s ok xx

Agreed, a blog should never get in the way of doing the things you are writing about. I think i will post less next year as I look to finish several fiction projects and expect a big increase in paid work volume too. I’ve recently cut back to about once every four days and I think that might be my pattern next year.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hi Simon, thanks so much for your lovely words of encouragement. I always value what you have to say.

Haha, I’m glad you are ok with being stuck with me …you didn’t have much choice really. :p

I hope all your furry friends are keeping well. Are you all set for Christmas?

Glad you are back, I would be sad if I didn’t have your posts to read. It is hard maintaining a blog and an actual real-world life. I get super behind in blogging when I’m away at college, but it’s nice to know my blog is always there waiting for me to update. Happy you’re back(:

Thank you so much Alyssa, that means a lot to me that you would miss my blog if it was gone. I enjoy yours equally.

I am most definitely glad to be back and agree that it is a challenge juggling our blogs and real life. But I think its good to take a break if its needed and followeres are genuinly supportive of this as I have realized.

Thanks for commenting and Happy Christmas xx

NICOLA! *hugs* I’m so happy to see you’re back and doing well. I can understand that it must be nice to not be blogging. *is jealous of that* However, I, too, feel I would miss it, and I would miss you! I’m so happy you’ve returned! ^.^

Psst! Since you’re back, I was wondering if you might want to do me a favor and participate in my January blog series. It’s super short, just a couple of resolutions for the new year. I understand if you’re too busy, but I thought I’d offer.

Glad you’re back. ^.^ I look forward to all the lovely photos that make me jealous of where you live!

      Hi Melanie,
*hugs back* I was so glad to see your comment, blogging buddy 🙂 Haha, I missed our chats and hope you have been keeping well?

I will indeed hop over to your blog when I get the chance, is that where I will find info? Your going to think this is odd but I don’t generally make new years resolutions. I just make changes through-out the year as I see fit and if I am going to make any radical changes I usually do it a month before everyone else , haha …just to be difficult you know! I guess my digital detox was a premature new years resolution of sorts.

And thanks for your comment on my pictures, I really appreciate that and hope to have some more pictures soon xx

Good for you! I’ve been thinking about something similar. I never expected my blog to grow so fast and I’m having to put way too much time into it just to keep up with everyone. Digital detox is so good that sometimes I wonder about coming back at all too. Maybe both of us can find a happy medium 🙂
